Discover the beers of the Sisters of Maredret Abbey, a range brewed with spelt and plants, inspired by Saint Hildegard of Bingen.Spelt provides floral, nutty and slightly bitter notes and supports the strong, spiced flavour of the Triplus while providing a subtle acidity. The use of plants in Triplus, including coriander and sage, gives it a unique taste.

Maredret Triplus has a pleasant spring fragrance with citrus notes and a slightly woody finish. Triplus is also characterised by strong aromas of spices, from sage to galangal and laurel.

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Steady white head leaving dotted spots on the glass, hazy golden body. Moderate smell of apples and spices. Spiced fruity flavours, coriander and yeasty fruitiness, joined by white bread. Spiced malt-fruity ending, a bit doughy. Noticeable alcohol. Fair enough.

Hazy golden colour, white foam. Nose of citrus, herbs, coriander, 'salie'. Taste is fruity, herbal, medium sweet, light bitter finish. Not bad. I was expecting worse from John Martin.

opalescent to hazy pale yellow colour, one inch of dense white head, which lasts for quite a few minutes; aroma of coriander, orange peel oils, fruity (apple), grainy and some floral notes; taste of honey and fruity sweetness, orange, coriander, some hoppy bitterness and intensive spicy-ginger-ish notes; good tripel
