Held-Bräu Weizenbock, Flasche von Sagasser, FO. - Tiefdunkles Kastanienrotbraun. - In der Nase recht kerniges dunkles Weizenmalz, zarte Nelke, dezent bananige obergärige Fruchtigkeit und feine Herbe. - Antrunk sahnig weich und füllig dunkel- und weizenmalzig, satt hefig und dezent lakritzig-fruchtig, wobei die Frucht nur leise Akzente im üppig bitterschokoladig-toffeesüßen Malzkörper zu setzen vermag. Milder rezent, vollmundig, leise alkoholische Wärme. Im Abgang dezente Nelke, feine Malzbittere und milde aber doch merkliche herbale Hopfenherbe. - Sehr schöner Weizenbock, füllig und rund. Dark brownish. Aroma is chestnut cloves some phenols also melasses. Taste is sweet melasses with some sour yeasty minerally carbonation. More melasses and cloves in the finish. Alright.

500ml bottle. Hazy, redd-ish, mahogany colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige to tan head. Sweet-ish, wheaty malty, yeasty fruity and yeasty spicy, minimally chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of banana, baked banana, dark honey, treacle, preserved pear, baked apple, some clove, a touch of nutmeg, whiffs of mustard seed. Taste is surprisingly dry, sweet-ish wheaty malty, minimally nutty, dark malty, slightly papery and leafy hoppy, yeasty fruity and minimally yeasty spicy, diluted hints of baked banana, dark honey, a touch of treacle, pear, clove, a very week, almost a bit tart-ish touch of mustard seed, brine; dry, papery, leafy hoppy finish, a fruity touch of pear is kept alive. Slightly creamy, watery texture, slightly dry, simultaneously minimally cloying palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Very promising nose, slightly disappointing taste - quite nice overall.

0.5 l bottle from 'Bierothek', best before March 2022. A bit hazy, very dark reddish brown with a thin, foamy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, quite yeasty-spicy, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, chocolate, toasted nuts, overripe banana and clove. Gently sweet, malty, quite yeasty-spicy, minimally fruity taste of caramel, chocolate, toasted nuts, nutmeg, clove, overripe banana and some marzipan, followed by a short, moderately bitter, quite yeasty-spicy, a little roasty finish. Medium to full body, very smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Tasty Dunkelweizenbock, maybe not overly deep but very smooth and pleasant.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color, creamy head. Banana and chalk in the aroma. Sweet flavor with wheat, pineapple and mandarin. Some tartness and a hint of cinnamon. Nice, but on the thin side.

Bottle. Exploded fireworks, quite rural nose. Cloudy dark brown, creamy cappuccino head. Medium light dry body, dry wood and metal. Quick finish, less offensive in the finish.

Bottle. Surprisingly dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is farty, a touch vomit, butyric acid, parmesan, some used firecrackers. Taste is mineralic. Quite dull. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Totally weird, and flavourless besides the irritating and unpleasant aroma.

From bottle at the brewery.Hazy dark brown colour lasting beige head. Banana jumps out of the glass at you. Then toffee and brown malts flavours in the mouth. Too fizzy. Dry finish. I like the aroma of banana especially.
