Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark copper colour with a lasting bubbly white head. The aroma is nutty and floral. The flavour is light to moderate bitter, with a smooth, big malty, floral perfume, light hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at Lych Gate Tavern, Wolverhampton. Pours a reddish brown with a small off-white head and good lacing. Some malts can be discerned in the aroma, but itโs all rather slight. Berry fruits are the initial impression in the mouth. Gerneally sweet with a creamy texture and a caramel base. Some traces of liquorice too. Finish is slightly bitter. Reasonable.
