Cask at Good Intent, Birmingham. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small scummy cream head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly roasted malts with traces of oats and vanilla. In the mouth it is sweet and creamy, but with a little underlying bitterness. Roasted malts again in the flavour, along with lactose and vanilla with hints of chocolate, balsam and honey later on. Finish is slightly dry. This is quite nice – smooth and easy drinking.
