Warming with a mellow fruit aroma featuring grapefruit and orange citrus tones combined with floral and herbal notes from the Styrian Goldings hop variety, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Clear deep copper color with a small off white layer on top. Flowery, sweet malty and faint citric aroma. Tad sweet and an ok bitterness. Medium body with a soft to flat carbonation. Sweet malty close to diacetyl, faint citric and nutty. Quite disappointing ale. Why call it an IPA when you forget to use a proper amount of hops.

Bottle from Sainsbury and drunk at home. Clear dark amber colour very thin layer of off white bubbles. Boiled sweet malt and some white pepper harsh hop aroma. OK in the mouth, slight sweetness. Some hop on the finish. It’s a bit boiled sweet like. No real Greene King yeast presence I guess due to the pasteurisation. Some bitterness on the finish. Not as good as the cask version. But ok and not unpleasant.

Part of my 2013 backlog. Redish amber colour with a white head. Aroma was buttery and sweet, with malts. The taste wasn’t hoppy for an IPA more malty.

0,5L bottle. Pours clear amber with off-white head. The head stays for a moment. Aroma is sweet, malt and British hops. Taste is very sweet and some bitterness, caramel and malt. Finish is malty and dry bitter. Overall: drinkable, but that’s it.
