Bland and featureless ale, not too much bitterness, but not too much flavour either.

Cask at The Bell, Aylesbury. Clear nut brown. Nutty and buttery. Sweet with medium body. Some sugar and caramel. Low bitterness. Soulless. Defines Boring Brown Bitter.

Cask @ The Burnbrae, Bearsden.
Light amber brown, thin frothy head, diminishing.
Aroma of caramel malt, light bitter hops.
Taste of caramel malt, grassy grainy bitter hops, some roast with typical Greene King yeast flavour.
Palate of light hop bitterness and malt, soft carb, texture thin to medium, finish was bitter, sour with hints of cardboard and metal.
Simple bog standard bitter with a rough finish.

Cask at Penzance Wetherspoons. Pours very dark amber. Lightly fruity. Mildly bitter.

Pullman bar 27.4.2011. Poured clear copper with a thick white head. Aroma is fruity and nutty. Flavor is dried fruit, leather, finish is slightly bitter. Bit watery. Standard bitter.

Cask @ Counting House, JDW. Golden colour, off-white head. Aroma is soft malty, creamy. Flavour is soft malted, some hops, wet paper, dry biscuit. Fairly dry and bitter finish.

From cask. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, slight peachy to citrusy. Crisp hoppy flavour, sweet and light malty. Subdued bitterness, slowing increasing.

Cask at Central Bar JDW. Pours copper with an off-white, cream cap. Malt, toast and toffee aroma. Lightly sweet with burned toffee, lightly toasted malts, faintly citrusy hops. Light in body with fine, smooth catrbonation. Dries out a touch on the finish, with a nice earthy bitterness and further notes of toasty malts. Nice beer.

Dyp brun. Masse luft i glasset som sakte klarner. Flott kremskum. Pent. Forsiktig aroma med litt frukt & malt. Syrlig fruktig smak. Svakt fruktig bitter ettersmak.
