@ Bunch Oโ Grapes, Caerdydd. Amber, bright. The aroma is primarily of caramel. Bland, caramelly character. Quite a boring pint.

Cask at Jdw at Birmingham airport. Aroma is dried fruit and some bready malt. Taste is some bread, some faint apples with a yeasty bitter finish. A little watery. Not the best session bitter.

50cl bottle from Morrisons. Gold with a thin white head; rather thin with a sweet malt flavour and gently bitter finish. Rather plain and ordinary, but at least thereโs nothing wrong with it.

Cask, full pint, handpulled at Wetherspoons The Flying Horse. Cellar cold, according to the pump clip. Amber in body colour, quite clear, and with a tiny, beige head. Withered floral aroma. The taste gave some of the same withered impression with moments of caramel malts, dry hops and a touch of spices. Rounded bitterness. Drinkable, but lacking freshness and far from being in its best condition (at Gatwick airport, 08.08.2009).

Cask, Bridge Inn, Middleton-in-Teesdale, Co Durham. Not expecting too much from this as Iโm not a fan of Greene King at all, but served in good nick this wasnโt too much of a calamity. Dark amber with a medium off white head. Some fruitiness in the flavour which was caramel malt based and slightly thin. Clean and fresh though, and thus passable.
