Smooth mild dry Ale with a dry bitter grainy body. Nice, fruity with a dry grainy and slightly bitter finish. Nice, fruity with a great combination of grain and fruitiness. Nice dry bitter stuff.

50cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours brilliant dark red, transparent, with fine cream foam. Aroma is malty and earthy. Body is average, with good carbonation. Taste is medium sweet, but coupled with a nice herbaceous bitterness. Final is fairly dry herbaceous.

Cask at Picture House, Stafford (though I’ve had it before elsewhere). Pours a brownish red with a small off-white head and some lacing. The aroma is faint and variable, either malts or berry fruits. In the mouth it is slightly watery, but that is more than made up for with bitter hoppiness, over a caramel base. Later on some dark fruits start to show, and the finish is bitter and fruity. This is a bit of an acquired taste – but I like it !

Chestnut brown with a tinge of ruby red, a creamy off-white head and a sweet, bready malt aroma. Medium bodied, smooth and semi-creamy, in lovely condition, with sweet bready malt, dark fruits and a lovely bitterness all vying for space in the taste window, and a dry bitter finish
