Moody’s brand new Coffee Ale is aimed at offering a lighter and livelier alternative to the popular porter style coffee beers that are typically brewed and barrelled during the fall season. The result is a luxuriously smooth and balanced altbier style ale that offers comforting aromas of toasted caramel, and freshly baked cookies to complement the sweet and nutty coffee flavours. Rich, yet not overpowering, this beer is surprisingly sessionable and is a brew that we think is fit to drink all year long!

Light coffee and not a lot more to this. Golden pour with decent head. Cloying tangy finish. Not really something I would want to drink ever again. Can.

473ml can. Pours a clear gold-amber with a thin, foamy, short lived, white head that leaves spotty lacing. Aroma is dominated by coffee with mild caramel malt. Sweet flavour of toasted caramel malt, bread and coffee in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a watery to oily texture and average carbonation. Pretty one dimensional, but ok.
