500ml @ Ryan's. Appearance: very dark copper with a beige head. Aroma: plums and other dark fruits along with dark sugars as described, quite sweet. Taste: along the same lines, esters, lots of Belgian yeasts. Overall: ok overall, but it's good for the style.

Poured from 500mL bottle (thanks dslam). Medium dark brown with small beige head. Belgian yeast, light spice, mild dried fruits, touch of plum, feint hint of smoke, decent.

500mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of dark brown sugar, dark stone fruits, and some slightly estery Belgian yeast. Flavour brings out some slightly smoky leather, with subdued estery notes, burnt dark sugars, and a touch of plum. Lightly boozy, leathery, and gently burnt sugary. Very nice.

500ml bottle. Pours a clear dark brown with red hue and a medium, creamy, short lived, tan head that laces. Sweet aroma of Belgian yeast, caramel malt, chocolate, plum, overripe banana and clove. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, brown sugar, plum, raisin, fig, dark chocolate, licorice, light roast, Belgian yeast and clove in a dry, warming booze finish. Medium body with a sticky, oily texure and soft carbonation. Really good, but aging this could make it really great. Looking forward to year 6!
