An ode to a classic, this beer pours a deep reddish copper, with a creamy custard colored head and its incredible lacing foreshadows a beautiful beer. Strong notes of toffee and raisin on the nose with just the slightest hint of alcohol. Complex flavors of dried fig, raisin and plum lead into a slightly sweet warmth from the alcohol. The sweetness persists but is never out of balance. Tight carbonation and even bitterness help this full bodied beer finish clean, and refreshing belying its considerable ABV

On tap. Pours a clear red-copper with a small, creamy, long lasting, tan head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet malty aroma of caramel, toffee, raisin and fig. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, toffee, raisin, fig, plum and light spice in a dry, booze warming finish. Medium to full body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Malt forward, delicious, and very enjoyable.
