When a business relationship degenerates into brewmance, great beer is always involved! The entire team at Last Spike were instrumental in helping us achieve our brewing goal in 2019; beer in cans! The opportunity for an Old World meets New World collaboration could not be resisted, and a meeting of minds between Brewmasters, Andreas Althof (LSB) and Patrick Gaudet (BSB) culminated in the most epic of dopplebock brews!

Following the traditional “-ator” naming format of dopplebocks, Cocospiritator is the smoothest iteration of a malt-forward, strong, dark lager to be conjured in Alberta!

473ml can. A collaboration with Last Spike Brewery. Pours a clear red-brown with a medium, creamy, long lasting, tan head that laces nicely. Sweet aroma of toasted bready malt, nuts, cocoa, caramel, raisin, earth and weak coffee. Sweet flavour of toasted caramel malt, molasses, cocoa, toffee, nuts, plum, bitter coffee and a hint of licorice in a dry finish. Medium body with a smooth, sticky texture and average carbonation. Malt forward and easy to drink. Enjoyable.
