Bottle from my 2018 craft advent calendar. Black pour with brownish hues, and a small light brown head. Aroma is thin, light roast, hints of smoke and some soft, sweet coffee. Mouth feel is incredibly thin for the style with a very soft carb. Bitterness is very low, thin, almost dry finish with the slightest of roasty notes. Not great.

341ml bottle. Pours a clear dark brown almost black with amber hue and a thin, creamy, short lived, brown head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of roasted bready malt, toffee, dark chocolate, prune, vanilla and coffee. Sweet flavour of roasted grainy malt, ash, toffee, molasses, chocolate and prune with a dry, bitter coffee finish. Medium to full body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Not a bad effort, this being their first Impy (to my surprise). Lacks complexity but is dangerously easy to drink.

(Bottle) clear, very dark brown colour with a small brown head; aroma of chocolate liqueur, milk chocolate; balanced, not very complex flavour with a long, light bitter sweet finish
