A traditional Irish ale style, Warrior is named after warrior monk St Fanahan, the patron saint of our brewery hometown in Mitchelstown, Ireland. St Fanahan was renowned for his legendary feats of strength in battle so we’ve brewed a Warrior that is not too heavy, at 4.7% ABV, but is strong to bursting with hops. There’s a decent toffee malt base to balance out the pine and grapefruit Cascade hop flavours.

Bottle. Brown pour, with a medium beige head. Aroma is malty, fruity, with some pine resins. Very hop forward, lots of pine cones, and pine resins with light citrus notes and a medium bitterness.

330ml bottle. (4.7% ABV) Pours a hazy rust colour with a medium, creamy, long lasting, beige head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of bready caramel malt, toffee, orange peel, grapefruit and piney hops. Sweet flavour of grainy wheat malt, caramel, grapefruit rind and earth with a dry, bitter, hoppy, pine resin finish. Light body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Not bad, a very hoppy version of the style.
