Bottle. Black pour large beige head. Round, fruity roast, light coffee. Medium bitterness, dry, pithy finish. Nice example of a dry Irish stout.

(Bottle) hazy dark brown colour with a tall brown head; aroma of sourness, dough, roast; dry and sour flavour, earthy and mineral, with long dry mineral finish; interesting if nothing else

330ml bottle. Pours a murky brown with amber hue and yeast particles that sink to the bottom as a large, foamy, long lasting, beige head, slowly dissipates, leaving lace behind. Aroma of roasted malt, grainy wheat, dark chocolate, ash and oak. Sweet flavour of roasted grainy malt, dark chocolate, ash, raisin and oak with just a hint of whiskey in a dry, sour finish. Light to medium body with a thin, watery texture and soft carbonation. Not terrible, but there seems to be a slight infection.

Pure sour whiskey like morning breath after a bender. Only faint roast and stout elements. Black pour with fairly explosive head. Also some infection. Bottle from beer calendar.

Bottle from McHughs. Brownish black with a thin head. Aroma of dry malt. Flavour is raisin roast malt, chocolate, a little dry whiskey, flavour grows to quite a full finish.
