Clear purple pour, with a tiny white head. Cranberry, pom, and cherry aroma.. Thin, watery mouth feel. Very light, lactic finish, with a candy cherry after taste. It's not even that sour. Meh.

6/10/2023. Taster at Ulfborg courtesy of saxo. Poured cloudy pink amber with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma of malt, cranberry, pomegranate, strawberry, straw. Medium sweetness, light bitterness, moderate tartness and body. Slightly watery, quite lively. Pretty decent.

473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy magenta with a medium, foamy, short lived, pale pink head that laces. Sweet fruity aroma of bready wheat malt, cranberry, raspberry, pomegranate, yogurt and hibiscus. Sweet fruity flavour of bready wheat malt, pomegranate, cranberry, cherry, yogurt and rosehip in a dry, slightly tart, acidic finish. Light body with an oily texture and average carbonation. The name is misleading. This is more sweet than sour, but it is tasty and refreshing.

Tasting at Jamie's, can, 4.9% ABV; this year's version is with pomegranate, cranberry, hibiscus, rosehip
Red colour. Flowery aroma, lean mouthfeel, mild acidity, with strong berry and hibiscus character.
The flavouring is very potent, and therefore this beer works very well.

Yet another absurdly coloured beer from Halifax, not that I mind. This kettle sour pours pink-purple, clear with slightly pink, mostly white head. The taste isn't all that pungent, mild sour that leans toward the acidic, with a solid sweet chassis that dominates. Nothing earth shaking here. I feel I must be missing the true sours here in Nova Scotia, the non-kettles that sit in barrels to really stew and build complexity. Are there some? Well, times up anyway. It's back to Toronto for me tomorrow. There I know where to go to get my sour monkey off my back (Spadina Monkey that is.)
