Sample (thanks fonefan!). Brown colour, small brown head. Aroma is lots of clove, cinnamon and star anise with mild sweet malts. Flavour is getting messy on the spices, alcohol and some sweet malts. Long spicy mess in finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Very fizzy pour. Pours an opaque black with a rich and frothy beige head. Very spicy nose of anise, cardamom and cloves. Medium body, fizzy. Excessive clove notes, bordering medicinal. No real bitterness. Christmas spiciness gone whacko. 060922

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Hazy dark brown, small head. Perfumy nose with nutmeg and star anise. Mid sweet with medium to full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Caramel and lots of nutmeg. Pinry bitter finish. Overspiced and aggressive.

ABV: 7.7%. Clear dark red brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dark malt, star anis, spicy, nutmeg, clove, minty, cinnamon. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration, spicy bitter, dark malt, nutmeg, dust spicy, cinnamon, clove. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft.
