[ As Crooked Stave Autumn Surette ].
ABV: 6.2%. Clear medium golden orange yellow colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, spiced, fruit - orange, herbal, funk. Flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic with a average to long duration, herbal, sour, tart, citric, some funk. IMO: quit odd and not as good as normal from Crooked Stave. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to lively.

Sample at The Source. Slightly hazy yellow-gold color with a medium bright white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Short strings of lacing. Potpourri aroma with notes of fruit and yeast. Medium-bodied with flavors of tart citrus, herbal yeast and malt. The finish is a blend of spices and herbs with a touch of fruit in the aftertaste. Above average overall.

Tap at the barrel cellar - cloudy gold - frothy head - nose has a nice mix of mild spice (nutmeg, all spice), earthy squash (pumpkin, butternut) and earthy yeast funk - all are mild but well-integrated - soft carbonation - full mouthfeel - flavor is much like the aroma - very nice integration of spices, earthy squash, and mild funkiness - I really enjoyed this - when Chad nails it, he really nails it - too bad beers like this are few and far between.

Tap @ Crooked Stave. Pours a bit cloudy golden appearance with a small off white head. Herbal, fairly spicy, nutmeg, cinnamon, yam aroma. Pretty tasty, a bit peppery, pumpkin, a touch nutty, sweet potato, cinnamon, slightly tangy citrusy flavor. Cool brew.
