Thnx to Jan ! Pours unclear blonde. Not much head. Smell is intense, fleshy, spiced, fruits (orange) . Taste is lactic sour, tart, dry. Citrussy, somewhat spiced, medium body, medium high carbo. Some aspects reminding of daisies. Ok.

Poured into a tall tulip, the appearance was a hazy burnt orange almost brown color with a two finger white foamy head that quickly dissipates. Mild filmy lacing.
The aroma started off with some dank grass, vinous notes, sour fruit, oak, and citrus.
The flavor leaned towards the sour to vinous fresh notes with some lingering bready notes. Sly wheaty/graininess. Vinous aftertaste. Dry sticky vinous finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good.
Overall, vinous sour saison, good for what it is, and I could have again.

Draft at the source. Clear golden yellow color, solid white head. Potent herbal aroma. Taste is herbal as well, hard to identify. Interesting and unique.

Brewvival 2015 Trip #79. Bottle at Brewvival. Pours a clear copper with a thin fizzy tan head. Decent retention. Aroma of intense herbal notes, sage and thyme, rye, stone fruits, pale malts. The taste is herbal and floral notes, pale malt, spice. Medium bodied.

The beer is a dark yellow. It’s quite cloudy. Medium white head, which fades steadily after the initial pour. The aroma has a big floral note on top of oranges, lemons and underripe apricots. Stonefruit pits and oak. There’s a lot of oddball spice, and it’s just not working for me. There’s something a bit abrasive about the combination, particularly an odd spoiled orange juice character. Taste is moderate to medium sour. There’s not really all that much pucker, but it’s more than expected and seems weird against the citrus and other flavors. Light feel with some tanginess. This is the first CS beer that I’ve tried in awhile that I didn’t care for. There’s just something about the spicing that throws it off for me.

Tap at the brewery; GABF weekend, 2014. On my second visit to the brewery, the Sunday after the festival. Dry and herbal. Full flavor with wild yeast. Lightly sour, some spice. It is dry and earthy, not sweet at all.
