Bottle 2017 from a local bottle shop. Very old barrel aroma with raisins, tobacco, dried prunes, wood, caramel toffee, Belgian yeast, and spicy notes. Flavour is medium sweet and lightly bitter. Body could be fuller, this is too thin. Overall nice but I expected something better.

75cl bottle from... Aldi? Hazy golden, stable, foamy, white head. Aroma of oxidized apple, pear, ripe white grape, plum, sweet white wine, yeast, hay. Taste has sweet apple, plum & grape in a bready malt body with spicy, yeasty and hay-like notes. Floral hoppy finish, lingering ripe yellow fruit, phenolic spices and warming white wine-like alcohol. Medium body, slick-moussy texture, average carbonation. Utterly Belgian but pretty decent; must have improved in recent years then.

opalescent pale yellow colour, medium sized dense white head; aroma of apricot, orange peel oils, grainy, hay, earthy-musty, some grape peel and peppery notes; taste is the same; not bad at all

0.75l bottle thanks to Lore. Hazy golden body with a white head. Aroma of orange zest, sugar syrup, pears, peppers and a tiny bit of grassy hops. Taste of sugar syrup, orange zest and some hay. The finish has a bit of spicy hops to it. Very nice.

Bottle.... Not from Aldi and not at Aldi prices... Nose is fruity, belgian yeast slight dough, hint of spice - quite mute though. Taste; is malt, leading to sweet pear drop, dough, light spice, bitter herbal hops, hint of aniseed, leading to a boozy almost pepper finish. It's OK but no more.

Overraskende lett i kroppen for sitt vitamininnhold.

75cl bottle at home (27 VII 2019), as St Feuillien Cuvée Réserve. Firm rocky white foam, quite long lasting, upon a cloudy and unclear dark blonde to yellow-orange brew. This is a straightforward strong blond in a slightly above average tripel sensation. The nose has a proper malts and floral hops balance, with keen banana flavours and perhaps here and there some vegetables or cauliflower. The fruits character however gains the upper hand. The mouthfeel is powerful yet a certain creaminess makes up for a smooth taste. There are banana, citrus, grassy and peach hints in there, together with a lingering coriander backbone. The hops always are on the forefront. The body is quite alcoholic, which is no surprise. This is a decent portrait of a classic Belgian tripel, perhaps being even a that better than the average.
