4.3-4.8% abv. Malted barley, oats. The equivalent to Table Beer in our range of stouts and porters. Not brewed to 'dry stout'-style, per se, but a stout that is dry. Light-bodied but not thin, with more prominent kettle-hopping and then dry-hopping to add some brightness and contrast to the roasty, biscuity, and savoury character of the dark malts.

Keg at Simon the Tanner, London. Deep bitter malty stout. Lovely lasting espresso foam. It feels all rather mature but it actually has quite a thin ending that I suppose betrays that lower Abv. A tough one. Part brilliance, part average thin. mmmm. Striking a balance.

Keg at the arch 7 kernel tap. A dark black coloured pour with a lasting mid tan head. Aroma is big dry earth, dry roast, light plastic, singed pine, grass, liquorice.. Flavour is composed of dry earthy, toasted brown bread,, woody pine, bark. Palate is dry, frothy, airy carbonation, flint, grass. Very good.

Keg at the Waterloo Tap, 17/11/21. Black with a good sized khaki head that stays for the show. Nose is cocoa powder, dusty hops, trace of pine, charr, raisins. Taste comprises mellow roast, chocolate sprinkle, raisins, ashen tones, charr, toasted coating. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close with a dusty hop bite. Solid.
