Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 6

Black with quick fading head. Aroma and flavour have artificially sweet extracts. Nice texture, oily. Just too sweet. Background bitterness is wiped out by the syrupy sweet caramel.

440ml can from the brewery. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a short-lived, fizzy tan bead. The aroma is roasty malt, chocolate and caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liqourice bitter, with a smooth, rich, light sweet chocolate, warm boozy alcohol bitter palate and a lingering alcohol bitter finish. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Not as sweet as I expected. The chocolate was well hidden.
