Bottled at Annafest, Forchheim. Pale brown, average head. Medium sweet and a bit fruity. Medium bodied with very light roastiness. Low bitterness. Quite anonymous.

(bottle) Clear, amber colour with a rather short, slightly off-white foamy head. Light-sweet, toast-malty lemony-citrus hop aroma with a faint note of caramel. Light-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Moderate, slightly toasted malty base with a honey-like fruity note; moderately dry, but rather slim, light bitter finish Average but somewhat likeable Dunkel.

(Bottle 50 cl) A clear, dark, amber golden beer with a creamy, off-hite head. Lightly roasted malt aroma. Medium body with clean notes of roasted malt and then a rather dry and hoppy finish. More of a Landbier than a Dunkel. 251206

A dark amber beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel, but also with a light roasted character. The flavor is sweet malty again with primary notes of caramel and more subdued notes of roasted malt.

Foxy-amber beer with amberish tinted, quite creamy head. Greenery, even grassy nose; fresh-malty is dominating. Soft-sweet, but very undistinguished taste; sweet white bread - but this one is from the supermarket-pre-sliced-shelf. Tasting like it’s not quite fermented out, but bottled three-quart of the way. Light, this time really & texture for rainwater-suspended coloured malt, unfermented. This one might be traditional, it’s not going to become my favourite Franconian for the longest time.

Bottle (from Landbierparadies): Mid-sized fluffy head, slowly diminishing, deep amber coloured; mild sweetish/caramelly nose, a bit grainy; mild bitter-sweet, caramelly flavour with a tinge of smoke (???), soft mouthfeel; dry malty finish with lingering, distinctive aromatic hops in the aftertaste. Well rounded, tasty and pleasant Fränkisches Bier........
