12 ounce can from Niemuth's, 5/10/22. Hazy orange, medium fizzy off-white head, average retention. Aroma of intense tangerine, floral notes, wheat. Taste is strong citrus, mainly orange, wheat, bit of spice. Juicy, bright. Nice, but could be a bit much.

Pours bright yellow with a fizzy white head. Aroma of bright Valencia orange. Taste has mild hop bite, more citrus, dry malt. Palate has malt, soft citrus. Good.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a hazy white gold with a full 2 fingers of foam. Orange juice focused nose with some malt in the background as it warms. More of the same on the palate with some orange pixie dust candy notes on the finish. Mikan / tangerine sweetness, but some pith and peel on the finish.

12oz can. Hazy yellow-tan body. Soapy, patchy head. Artificial grapefruit squirt soda flavor dominates...I'm sure it would have been a more enjoyable beer as a simple Wheat. Like a diet Tangerine Session IPA seltzer. Not that impressive, and actually downright sad that this is what Sierra Nevada is putting out instead of the Porter, Stout, Wheat ect

This review was imported from my RateBeer ratings.

12 oz. can, 5% ABV

AROMA: Heavy scent of sweet lemon and grapefruit. The lemon scent really reminds me of the Lemonheads candy of my youth.

APPEARANCE: Pours a cloudy yellow. In a clear glass, it really looks like freshly squeezed lemon juice. Except with a small, tight, white head that dissipates slowly and has minimal lacing.

TASTE: Slightly sweet with flavors of sour lemon and grapefruit. There is an odd kind of "tin" taste that I think comes from the lemon not quite pairing well with the grapefruit. The finish is medium-long and mostly sour and dry.

MOUTHFEEL: Thin-bodied with, what I would call, a "resistive" texture. Which basically means that it is going to cause your tongue to slightly stick to the inside of your mouth, rather than easily slide around.

OVERALL: This is your typical grapefruit wheat beer that has been so popular the last 6 or 7 years. Unfortunately, it is not a great rendition. The flavor combination is a bit lacking, and the wheat beer itself, is just mediocre. If you want a grapefruit beer, then there are way better options out there. Which is a shame, because I've really enjoyed a lot of the other Sierra Nevada beers. For whatever reason, they really missed the mark with this beer.

Orange juice, wheat malt and straw aroma. Hazy golden yellow with large white head. Lightly sweet orange, wheat malt, and mildly bitter straw flavor. Okay body. Not bad - standard.

Mediocre wheat ale with a tin of citrus flavor. The website says it’s derived from crystallized fruit juice, but damned if it doesn’t taste like some “natural” flavor was added in there. Either way, it’s not for me.

Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours translucent gold with a foamy white head. Aroma of citrus which is almost candied - very pleasant. Med body or so. Flavor is mixed citrus. It's not sweet, but seems like it should be given the flavor. But dry, nicely bitter, and wheaty in the finish. Session/pool/lake/etc. Very nice.
