On tap @ the brewery. Reddish brown appearance with a light brown head. Sweet burnt sugar, pear, apple, toffee aroma. High sweetness, low bitterness. There’s a weird herbal flavor that’s hard to pinpoint. Lots of smoky, brown sugar, prunes, and pear. Kind of spicy. Bleh.

Tap at the brewery - seems like they were going for a Westmalle clone here in that it is a drier, spicier rendition with some strong earth/basement - there is some sweet raisin and prune on the approach, but then the malt character gets a bit more dry and toasty - some dustiness leads to moderately spicy phenolics late, and a mild tartness/tannic character - a slight metallic tang, but pretty good.
