On tap @ Avery Strong Ale Fest 2015. Dark brown appearance with a dark brown head. Banana, heavy apple / pear, chocolate in the nose. Boozy, sweet caramel / chocolate flavor. Seems like there’s some oxidation. Also, plenty of apple and banana in the flavor. Medium light body. Boozy. Not that great.

Sample at the Flatiron Park taproom. Pours an opaque dark brown color with a medium thin beige head that recedes steadily to a dense film. Small sparse patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, caramel and banana. Medium to full body with flavors of caramel malt, wheat and banana. The finish is sweet with a malt and fruit aftertaste. Above average overall.
