Taster at the brewery. Pours dark brown, with a small, bubbly, khaki head. The aroma is dates, sugar, black pepper, licorice, mild coffee, and black bread. Sweet and yeasty, with a warming finish. Medium to heavy body, with a syrupy, dusty, and yeasty mouthfeel. This is a decadent and delicious quad.

On tap @ 12 Degree. Pours a somewhat hazy deep reddish brown appearance with a brown head. Light coffee and cola, burnt sugar, caramel, apple, coke aroma. Kind of dull carbonation. Flavor has a bunch of cocoa and light roast. Some light banana and apple among r with caramel and slightly burnt sugar. Finishes a touch sweet. Kind of a sipper. I’m running out of time here but this is something that I’d like to examine a bit more closely in the future. Maybe a true winner.
