On tap at Hopshead, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast, dry crackery malt, and light cereal. Flavour is quite complex for the style, with Belgian yeast, crackery malt and light cereal malts. Really authentic and quite complex for the style. Impressive.

On tap @ the brewery. Pours a clear golden appearance with an off white head. Herbal, honeysuckle, grassy, straw aroma. Medium body. Sweet citrus, honey, lightly toasted malt flavor. Medium high sweetness. Moderate bitterness. Ok.

Tap at Hogshead - belgian ale at a british brewery? - pours a lightly hazy gold - frothy, well-sustained head - nose has a lot of tart citrus rind and a sweet juicy fruit gum kind of character to it - also so bitter herbal notes - lively carbonation in the mouth - moderate citric acidity up front - medium honey sweetness through the middle, some of the gum character from the nose - a lot of bitterness late, of the herbal and floral variety - the finish dries out nicely, though, with a little flinty character - a bit all over the place, but some nice stuff happening.
