Sample at the Hoppin’ Frog Tasting Room. Pours a very dark brown color with a thin light beige head that disappears quickly to a sparse outer ring. Spotty lacing as well as some sticky legs on the glass. Aroma of chocolate, oak and coffee. Full-bodied with a chocolate-covered banana character (thanks JaBier) and notes of roast coffee and oak. The finish is vanilla/chocolate with a whiskey aftertaste. Good beer all around.
