Sierra Nevada Torpedo Ale is a big American IPA; bold, assertive and full of flavor and aromas highlighting the complex citrus, pine and herbal character of whole-cone American hops. Our obsession with harnessing huge hop flavor led to the development of what we call the hop torpedo, a revolutionary method of dry-hopping designed, built, and debuted here at the brewery. Our torpedo is a sleek, stainless-steel piece of hardware that delivers more pure hop aroma than any method of dry-hopping we’ve ever seen.

0.33 l can from Beerlovers. Pours deep golden colour with huge, everlasting head. Piney notes, some tropical fruits, malts and honey in its aroma and taste. Long lasting bitterswet finish, with hints of honey and lingering hops. Soft carbonation, light to medium body. Well made IPA, good one.

just your typical high quality american IPA. huge citrus hops, loads of citrus fruit, and some nice balance in the sweet malts. The hops do outbalance the malts a bit but, its such a great hoppy experience. great stuff.

Aroma of malt, caramel, tropical fruits, citrus, some pine, hops. Flavour is malty and fruity, a bit sweet, with a medium bitter finish. Very balanced and full of flavour, could almost qualify as a Double IPA. ***re-rate three years later, malty and resinous hops with caramel, sweetish fruits. A fine West Coast IPA, a bit more sweetish and malty to the palate nowadays.

Bottle at Fogo de Chao Las Vegas. Clear dark copper with a small lingering off white head that generates tight lace. Nose is pine, citrus peel and light caramel malt. Lightly sweet malt base supporting a big resin bitterness. Mouth is medium with average carbonation and a lingering bitter finish.

Очень приятный насыщенный аромат фруктового хмеля. Цвет классический, карамельный. Вкус хорошего американского хмеля. Много фруктов и немного ягод. Имеется фруктовая и довольно резкая горчинка при послевкусии.

Hazy golden with a solid white head. Dry, hoppy aroma. Super dry flavour too, with bitter and grassy hop, pine, a little spice, some citrus zest. Nice dry finish. Simple but really tasty.

On tap at Ebenezers, Nantwich. Pours golden brown with a small off-white head and good lacing. The aroma is a pleasant mix of bitter hops, nuts and alcoholic strength. In the mouth it is intense hoppy bitterness which is the first sensation. Then the realisation that it is quite juicy, with plenty of pine resin and hints of spice and ginger. Later there are traces of nuts and maple syrup as well. Bitterness lasts into the slightly dry finish. This is simply awesome – it’s what hops are supposed to be for !
