Mixed review bottle (enjoy by 2/4/22) pour from Crosscut Liquors, Mtn. View and bottle (bottles on 11/4/24). Appearance is opaque black with light sparkle, finger-width light brown creamy head with fair retention and no lacing. Aroma is moderately strong roasted malt and coffee with late mild tart fruit contribution (no tartness 2024 edition). Taste follows aroma but tart quality is earlier and more pronounced (again, no tart quality 2024. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with thin, smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, neither the base stout nor the coffee is particularly strong or noteworthy (2022 version but both in good quantity 2024) and didn't care for the tart element. Not their best. Have had this before and enjoyed it so going to view 2022 as the aberration.

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is a wonderful roasted coffee. This is almost more of a espresso roast. Flavor is a great bitter roasted coffee with a prefect roasted mouth feel. The aftertaste is full of nutty goodness. Not only is this a great coffee stout with a rich coffee flavor the roasted nut aftertaste is equally stellar. Plenty flavorful and full of coffe and roasted malt.

12 oz. bottle thanks to GrandaddyKC. Neck stamp date of 10/28/14. Dark black color, with fast vanishing tan head. Aroma is black coffee with roasted barley. The front of the sip shows a large amount of roasted coffee followed by caramel and some bitterness in the back to help balance. Body is lean but that is ok because it is only 6% ABV. Very coffee forward. Extremely drinkable coffee stout, thanks Brad!

Bottle in Vail courtesy of jcnielsen. Thanks bro! Pours a deep brown appearance with a dark brown head. Roasty coffee, earthy, chocolate, toasted aroma. Creamy dark chocolate, somewhat herbal/earthy, toasted coffee flavor. Pretty good but not excellent.

12 oz bottle at Pig and Finch in Leawood, Kansas. The pour is black, slight hint of brownish ruby, with a one inch khaki head. Pretty in the glass. The aroma is fresh coffee, light bitterness, along with a sweet milk caramel malt element. The taste is very similar to iced coffee, roast soft bitter of coffee, along with the sweetness of the caramel malt. The soft milkiness carries the finish. The palate is medium bodied, active carbonation and pleasant roast bitter finish. Very well done coffee beer, I enjoyed this, and I generally do not care for coffee beers.
