Tap at Funkwerks - turbid pour, burgundy in color - nose of brown sugar, cinnamon, raisin, red wine, oak, earthy/dusty yeast - low carbonation - flavor is actuallg medium sweet, with just a light twangy acidity to it - flavors of raisin, nuttiness, grape skins, moderate oak - a leathery funk is developing around the edges - finish is dry, with a lot of red wine character - alcohol is completely masked - pretty nice, really.

On tap @ Funkwerks. Pours a bit murky dark reddish brown appearance with a light brown head. Red wine, pretty funky, tart dark berry, caramel, a bit acetic aroma. Nice body. Fair amount of cookie, toffee, light vinegar, tart cherry flavor. I wasn’t a big fan of Son of Nothing, the non barrel aged version of this beer but enjoying the funky notes of this quite a bit.
