On tap. Pours a cloudy opaque orangey brown with a fine and creamy off-white head. A little burned caramel and toffee in the nose, somewhat flowery even. Medium body with a very soft mouthfeel, burned caramel and nutty accents with a whiff of friendly phenols. The alcohol is very discreet and the hops pretty close to absent. Perhaps not a very characterful Dubbel but extremely easygoing and drinkable. 100812

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small off white head. Aroma is dry malty, phenolic and spiced. Dry caramelish, phenolic, slight chemical. Toasted malty and light breadish into a dry phenolic finish.

Tap @ Brewpub. Pours slightly hazy dark brown with a small offwhite head. Aroma of sweet malt, candy sugar, sweet fruit. Taste follows nose with some brown sugar added. Thin to medium body, soft carbonation. 110712

Tap @ brewery. Brown appearance with basically no head. Somewhat sugary, dull brown sugar, light fruity, bland nose. Very low carbonation. A bit fruity, sort of weirdly sweet, lightly herbal flavor. Not very good.
