Tap at the Kitchen, Denver - 03/06/12. Dark brown with a smallish off white head. Dark malts, brown sugar, dark fruit nose and a little wood. Taste follwed nose with a little woodiness in the finish. Medium bodied with a good level of carbonation.

Tap at Funkwerks - hazy dark ruby - frothy head - nose is pretty awesome, with notes of toffee, raisin, brown sugar, moderately rich maltiness, folded well into a moderate wine character - some light dirty phenols creep in, but don’t totally spoil it - full but soft carbonation in the mouth - flavor is surprisingly dry - dusty, earthy yeast - flavors of raisin, fig and plum add sweetness through the middle - moderate dry cocoa notes - very mild wine notes - light spicy phenols - everything is fairly well integrated - I dig it.

Tap @ Funkwerks. Deep reddish brown appearance with almost no head. Dark fruity, plum, blackberry, black cherry, oaky aroma. The tannins come through even stronger in the flavor with notes of vanilla, leather, oak, light wine, cherries, and raisins. Pretty tasty.
