Bottle @ home, courtesy of JStax. Thanks! JetsonFest II. Clear reddish brown with a cream colored head. Nutty, a touch smoky, sweet maple, caramel aroma. A bit sharply sweet, thick caramel, dull ashy smoky, sweet malty flavor. Ok.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market Columbus/Dublin. Pours a clear dark amber color with a thin fizzy head that fades almost immediately to nothing. Aroma of nuts, grain, caramel and an almost coffee-like note. The taste is grain, some smokiness, caramel and a slightly metallic hop finish. Thin bodied. High carbonation. Decent effort but it falls flat.

On draught at the brewpub. Dark brown color with a carbonated look, and a thin and wispy off-white head. This really looks like a glass of cola. Aroma of roasted malt and caramel. Medium-bodied with a nice smoked character, with sweet malt, caramel and hops flavor. There is a touch of hops and bitter chocolate here and there too. The finish is long and sweet, with roasted malt and nuts. As with most of CBC’s seasonals (which tend to be better than their standard offerings), this is good.
