This classy clear glass screw top 40 is courtesy of Aaron and it was shared at a nice big tasting. It pours with a clear gold body that supports a thin white head. The aroma offers up pears, apples, sweet corn, some booze and sugary sweetness. Not all that offensive for the style, which makes it less to style. The taste is super sweet pears and apples mixed with only a moderate degree of booziness and corn and slight boozy chemicals. All in all rather less offensive than I thought it would be.

Bottle @ the First Annual Rocky Mountain Malt Liquor Tasting. Light golden appearance with a white head. Sugary, pale malty, sick aroma. Cloying sweet, pale malty, very sweet, a bit metallic, corn flavor. Gross.

Big 24 oz can, more than a bomber! Aroma is a little sweet & tart. Big ubiquitous pale yellow american color pour and appearance. Pretty fizzy on the palate but there is certainly a raw alky character to it on the taste buds. Strong warming back of throat effect. Just as rude as big city ice. Some tingly carbonation saves this from being a total failure. Finish is volatile fumes with a near grain alky flavor. Bitter alky lingering finish. Has the same attitude as many big ales.

kp’s Fest of 26. I don’t know who to thank for the chance to try this nectar of the streets. I’m glad it didn’t really have much flavor or aroma, good or bad. Thin, hazy pale yellow with no head. Surprisingly, no real strong fusels or alcohol coming from this 10% train wreck.

Yes interesting can glares at you from the shelf, commanding you to buy it. Started off semi decent looking, a bright yellow-gold, large bubble, medium firm head. Aroma surprisingly weak, some grain and solvent. Flavor is initially similar, not too sickeningly sweet, just grainy giving way to a solventy nail polish remover finish. Remember this stuff is 10%! So I tried to pretend it was a tripel gone haywire, and that the fusels were phenols, but it didn’t really work. I tried to force myself to drink the whole can. At one point I took a long pull from the glass, and immediately refrained from closing my mouth for fear of tasting what I had just done. I panted uncontrollably for several seconds. I forced myself to drink more. At this point my taste buds were nearly beaten into submission and I made a discovery that shall rank me with Pavlov. While Pavlov discovered that a stimulus in the mouth will trigger gastric secretions even if the food never reaches the stomach, I discovered that Ojo Malo in the mouth will trigger a signal from the nerves in the mouth to the language and motor parts of my brain instructing me to scream like a whipped dog. At this point my taste buds were nearly dead and I was able to finish this thing off, feeling slightly heady from the 10% ABV. Bonus points for not being overtly disgusting, finishable, and of course for leading to my Nobel Prize winning discovery.

Pours is a bright yellow with a quickly diminishing head. Aroam is sweet crap. Flavor is a cross between cough medicine and metal with a sticky sweet ness you can’t wash off your tounge. Only for the bold or reckless.
