Tap at Strange - lightly hazy amber - nose is light clove, toasted breadiness, tangy wheat, pumpernickel - flavor has some light clove phenols up front, but also some off plastic phenols as well - after that, the flavor is mostly dark wheat malt, moderate bitterness, strong cracked grain notes - simple, but not entirely unenjoyable, despite the one flaw.

Tap @ Strange. From last Wednesday’s One Barrel release. Glad to have stumbled upon this. Hazy dark brown appearance with a small tan head. Fairly toasty, caramel malty, light wheat, a touch nutty aroma with some faint fruity esters. Burnt roasty malty, very light wheat malty, a touch charred, a bit buttery, light banana flavor. Not their best offering. I think they need to increase the wheat malt bill and choose a different yeast.
