Tap @ Vine Street Pub, Denver. Pours black with fading creamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, oak, light notes of bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, light dark fruit. Taste is mallts, oak, bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, port, light boozy. Medium body, good level of carbonation for a barrel aged beer, light alcoholic finish. 280212

Tap @ Vine Street. Buffalo Trace barrels. Dark black appearance with a dark brown head. Fairly light whiskey, somewhat oaky, mostly a dark roasty malty aroma with a light note of espresso and char. Somewhat charred, roasty malty flavor with a noted anise, tar, somewhat boozy presence. A little bit of a disappointment, especially with the booze notes.
