Prost! Hefeweizen

Tap @ Denver Beer Co. Cloudy yellow appearance with a good white head. Yeasty, slightly bready, moderately citrusy, lightly phenolic/estery aroma. Pretty bland taste with flavors of wheat, bready yeast, mild citrus, and weak banana. Not hard to drink but really lacks flavor and is just pretty boring.

Well, certainly less abrasive than their other attempts at a hefe, but in the end, the pendulum swings the other way, resulting in a fairly boring beer - mostly, this is medium bodied and yeasty/doughy, with a fair amount of tart lemon, but not much else - watery texture (aside from the yeastiness) - light citrus finish - inoffensive, but really boring, especially for a style where you expect a lot of character from the yeast.
