This beer pours a dark brown color with a medium thick tan head that diminishes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate and fruit. Medium body with flavors of roast malt, bittersweet chocolate, and coffee. The finish is roasty with a malt and coffee aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Bottled. Sweet, lager-like nose, smooth, chocolate, berries. Easy drinking with lots of cocoa and some berries. Comes across like a Baltic Porter all the way.

Bottle from GBBF 2015 and drunk at home. Black beer with thick lasting tan head. Dark chocolate, some dark fruits. smoothish in the mouth, some tar, touch of liquorice. Finish has more of the same. It’s ok, but doesn’t completely wow me. Hides ABV well. Some warmth on the finish. Malty. Brown bread. Some dark cherry. It’s fine.

650 ml bottle at the Local Pub, Athens. Dark brown with beige head. Aroma is roasted malty and light hoppy. Taste is sweet malty at the beginning, roasted, some coffee, then it becomes bitter. Medium body, oily, soft carbonation.

Had this in bottle at Bracelands Campsite, nr Coleford, Forest of Dean, Glos, Saturday 6th September 2014 Pours black with light beige head. Smooth and creamy, roasty but not harsh. A little sweet liquorice and chocolate but a tiny bit thin even though its 8%. Its pretty decent but I wouldn’t rush out to seek it again. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6
