Cask at Butlers Bell, Stafford. Pours dark brown with minimal foamy off-white head. There’s malts and some hints of yeast in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet but with some underlying bitterness. Flavour has malts, blackcurrant and a smoky tinge. Hints of corn and caramel come through later. Finish is fruity and slightly sour. Not at all bad.

Copied my rating and that didn't work. Originally rated as Highgate Dark Mild and then realised that the Davenports version was different. Score it 3.5 and enjoyed it.
