Pours pitch black and a brown head with little retention. Aroma's: big roast, koffiedik, (red) berries. Retronasal: roasted, light berry-sour, light sweet, mocha. Flavour is above moderate sweet, mocha, a bit chocolate, roasted. Medium bodied. Firm carbonation. Long finish with lots of roast, coffee/mocha, moderate bitter.

44 cl. can @ café Derat, Utrecht.
Black with a thin beige head. Massive roasted malts aroma with ofcourse some coffee and chocolate. Sweet taste with a sweet boozy finish. Not the most subtle or balanced stout ever but I tend to like it.

Black and oily with thin head. Bizarre aroma of an old ashtray. Really like wet cigarette butts. It's in the background of the flavour too. 'Smokiness' should not be a bad combo with a heavy stout but this is just a bit too extreme. Other elements like camp coffee syrup and dark malts play a background role.

Overall decent, within yhe style below average. A lot of off flavours being masked here i think. A weird ashy thing going on underneath an otherwise good beer. Gollem amstelstraat
