@home poured into a tulip glass. Clear amber brown, huge off-white frothy head, good retention, some yeast circles, patchy lacing. Aroma sweet malts, yeast, caramel, coriander, citrus peel. Bit sharpish taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grain, caramel, some citrus, iron notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, quite astringent bittersweet aftertaste, malty notes, cardboard, the aftertaste is really a bit of a turn off, nevertheless a nice brew.

Bottle. Pours clear, amber with a very mild red glow. Soapy , medium sized white head with a very poor stability. Smell is sweet, bit grains, mild sugary, bit toasty. medium intensity. Taste is sharp, toasty, tad sweet, metallic, medium-low bitterness, bit of funk due to the grains, not wild yeast or anything like that. medium low MF, medium high - high carbo. OK

330ml bottle from Racines, Cassel. Pours amber with bubbly white head. Light sweetcorn aroma. Fairly dry taste, moderate vegetal elements, high carbonation, some spice, metallic notes.. not amazing.

Amber-coloured nephew of the Godefroy Blonde, with cream white foam and deep, almost bronze-like amber colour. Sweet caramel malts in the nose, nutty, red berries, pear; taste fruity, nutty malts, medium sweet, simple with thin mouthfeel and insufficient hop bitterness. Boring but not as boring as its blonde counterpart.

30/IV/13 - 33cl bottle from Van Uxeem (Ploegsteert) @ home - BB: 10/IV/14 (2013-440) Thanks to Erwin for fetching me the beer!
Clear orange beer, nice creamy off-white head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet, lots of orange peel, sugary, some coriander, spices, bit dusty. MF: a bit too much carbon, medium body. Taste: citric start, maybe to carbon?, malts, bit sweet, curaçao, spices, bit peppery. Aftertaste: bitter and hoppy touch, spices, some orange beep, malts, grains, bit soapy. Correct beer, but nothing exciting about it.
