Sample at the Draught House brewpub. Brownish-amber pour with a medium thin light beige head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and caramel. Light to medium body with flavors of bready malt, caramel and earthy hops. The finish is short and malty. Decent Altbier overall.

On tap at the flying saucer. Pours a dark brown with a medium off white head that leaves good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a roasted malt with a caramel. Medium mouthfeel with a dry roasted malt. Hides alcohol well making it easy to drink. A good alt from 512.
