Mens Room Black :: Imperial Red Ale . Mens Room Black is Mens Room Red dressed up for a buddy's wedding, with a hangover. It's big and dark red, bitter and aromatic with lots of Chinook and Cascade hops, including two massive dry-hoppings. In addition to more of all the malts used in the Original Red--pale, C-77 crystal, Munich, Cara-hell and Cara-red, it's got a good dose of Briess Midnight Wheat, for color and extra yumminess.

Bomber. Pours a mahogany color, lots of reddish hues with a large beige head. A big sweet malty nose, caramel and cherry. A really rich ASA, caramel, the biggest flavor is probably toffee, dusty malts, cherry and light smoked malt. Very nice.

Bottle, 2014 vintage, received for Xmas 2015. Super excited at first, then I noticed the date… pours a flat, medium depth brown and topped with a thin beige head. Little bits of lacing. The nose is citrus, noticeably faded, hops. A little bit of wet dog. The flavor has held up remarkably well; citrus, caramel, and floral hops. Some bitters up front before getting sweet, then a lingering floral bitter finish. Actually drinks pretty good. Will try and get a fresh bottle and revisit.

Bottle from Brewery Creek, Vancouver
Dark brown color with generous compact head. Too similar to a Black IPA not to be mentioned; good resiny hops blend with good malt, and moderate roasty character; full bodied, fruity, fresh.
Very good beer.

Black is back! 22 Oz bottle poured. Pours a dark brown with a thick tan suds head. I’ve never been crazy about this beer, but the release party for it every year is a blast. Some good guys over at the program. Nice toasty malt aroma with a constant roasted flavor. Overall a tasty beer that I like to enjoy once a year. The jingle certainly doesn’t get old. Same as nooooo shit sherlock. Average imperial. Son of a bitch. No shit sherlock.

Cloudy med brown. Lots of woody hops, big chinooky-type stuff (I’m usually wrong on my hops), toasty malts. Very toasty, good woody cascade character.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy brown with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is light roast, oak, and booze. Medium mouthfeel with rich malt and sweet sugary finish. Decent.

22 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma of citrusy hops, light roasted malt and some faint tropical fruits. Flavour is rich, with fruity, citrusy hops, moderate roasted malt character, and a bit of caramel malt. Great balance between the hops and malt, with a moderate sweetness. Great one here.
