English IPA
The most intense in our series of English-style beers lamenting a trail of lies and misgivings. This India Pale Ale pays homage to our brewing cousins across the pond while adding an American twist that goes just shy of dumping all of their tea overboard. Whether we are talking Kyoto accords, Nuclear Non-Proliferation, the Treaty of Phoenice, the Peace of Bautzen (1018 A.D. version), promises made to the Penataka band, a pledge to put America before political labels or a reasonable promise to try to write better beer labels than this– may this IPA be a first step in keeping our promises and working together towards a civil and prosperous planet. Ingredients: Maris Otter, crystal & dark crystal malts; malted oats; earthy, English countryside, aromatic hops; English ale yeast; natural, limestone-filtered, Edwards Aquifer H2O; Unwavering Commitment to Our Word.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy orange with medium frothy white head that leaves sticky lacing. The aroma is pine, floral hop, and oat. Medium mouth, sweet hop, light bitterness, very good.

On tap at the brewpub during RBWG 2012. Clear golden with a white head and good lacing. Mild fruity aroma. Taste was fruity, grainy and some herbal notes. Decent.
