A four pack of 12 oz bottles found by my son at a Houston Total Wine, I am thrilled to have a domestic Belgian-style to try, sometimes they turn out all right. I have my Great Heights snifter for this one. The pour is a dark amber-copper followed by a decent cover of medium tan foam. I like the scent, candi sugar and dates. I get a drink, hmm, pretty decent. Bread, malt, plums, candied fruit and grain. And I’ve got to say, no way this is a Belgian Ale-Strong Pale. I would say a quadrupel.

12 oz. bottle. Pours dark amber with a beige head. Aroma of sweet stone fruits, yeast and alcohol. Taste is more of the same, dark fruits, plum, very sweet, alcohol, brown sugar. Not very complex. Sweet boozy finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy copper with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is dark fruit, caramel, booze, pure sugar. Medium mouth, similar flavors to nose, yeast, boozy finish, very good.
