Scaled is the first IPA brewed and packaged at our Canton, MA facility. In the Spring of 2018, we implemented recent learnings from our Permutation program to breathe new life into this milestone beer. The newly developed fermentation profile and grist coupled with foundational elements from a larger hop charge of legacy hop varieties take this IPA to the next level! El Dorado, Citra, and Columbus hops create an aromatic blast of juicy mango, pineapple, and lemon candies. Pineapple, sweet orange and pink grapefruit flesh follow on a medium bodied palate that finishes with a soft, mild to moderate bitterness.
MALT: American 2-row Barley, White Wheat, Flaked Wheat, Dextrine, C-15
HOPS: El Dorado, Citra, CTZ

Poured into a snifter showing cloudy yellow with a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows rich notes of tropical fruit - pineapple, mango, and guava. Great intensity. The palate is well carbonated and medium bodied. Same rich tropical flavors on the palate but dry with a light bitter citric zesty edge on the finish that ties up the beer in a nice fashion. Although a little more on the alcoholic end, it drinks so well, you’ll hardly notice it.

Bouteille de 75cl de et partagée avec Tderoeck. Bottled 12.02.2016.

Got in a BIF from tasterschoice62. 750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 2/12/2016. Pours very hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of huge pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange zest, light pepper, pine, light honey, wheat, cracker, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fantastic aromas with incredible complexity and balance of juicy/dank citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange zest, light pepper, pine, light honey, wheat, cracker, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine/citrus rind/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange peel, light pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy/dank citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness that lightly increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderate sticky, and creamy/grainy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an insane IPA! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy/dank citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A really amazing offering all around.

Pours light hazy pear into a snifter. White head with little retention recedes to mottle surface. Yeast, caramel and citrus aromas. Soft with sweet yeast and lemony citrus front to back. Lasting grapefruit finish.
