Marked at 12.5%. Taster at the brewery. Murky, reddish-brown, with a small, tan head. The nose is apple, caramel, juniper berries, coriander, and vanilla. Sweet and malty, with a bracing, dull bitterness. Very heavy body, chewy, and sharp. Clean, aggressive, and balanced.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear amber with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is candy sugar and caramel. Medium mouth, rich, toffee, candy sugar, boozy, sweet finish, very nice.

Well-executed American-style Barleywine - creamy texture - rich malt has of dark fruit and caramel - assertive hop profile - woody character - some moderate spiciness on the tail end, along with candied plums - aggressive, but well-done for what it is.
