22 ounce bottle into chalice, 2015 vintage bottling. Pours slightly hazy deep orange/copper color with a 1 finger dense off white head with poor retention, that reduces to a thin ring pretty quickly. Minimal lacing on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of golden raisin, plum, fig, pear, apple, grape, light banana, pepper, clove, caramel, toasted bread, candi sugar, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and bready/candi sugar malt notes; with good strength. Taste of golden raisin, plum, pear, apple, grape, light banana, pepper, clove, caramel, candi sugar, toasted bread, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of golden raisin, plum, fig, pear, apple, grape, light banana, pepper, clove, caramel, candi sugar, toasted bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast and bready/candi sugar malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth and slightly slick/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice pale Quadrupel style! All around good balance, robustness, and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and bready/candi sugar malt flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the huge ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours clear amber, sma to no white head. Smell is sweet, taste is sweet. Malty, sugar, fruity. Way less dark than average., and very focussed upon sweetness and overripe fruit ( banana for the most part)

I am reviewing this from notes and I had it poured into a chalice.
The appearance was a hazy muddy brown color with light purple tinges on the sides of the glass. A half finger white to off white foamy head fills the top of the beer.
The smell was that of a normal Belgian Quad in that it has the Belgian spices combining with some bananas, plums, raisins and ends up adding a nice bready and earthy yeastiness to it.
The taste was sweet and spicy through the previously mentioned flavors leading to the same flavored aftertaste and into a dry finish.
On the palate, it sat about a medium and indicated that this one was more of a sipper for the most part. Sessionable? Maybe, perhaps.
Overall, this means everything for a good Quad. Would I have it again? Quite possibly. I’m super glad I found the notes of this today.

Very good all-around Belgian strong. A solid beer, although not among teh best quads. Has citrus, booze, some apricot and floral Belgian yeast. The body isn’t huge though. Pours cloudy dark brown. Bottle.

Bomber from bottleselect.com. Pours very hazy orange/copper with a transient, slight light tan head. Aromas of dark fruits and dried grapes. Lots of sugar in there. Near full bodied. Flavor is grape/raisin. Sadly not plum. Treacle. Well, I guess I like my quads fruity/sugary. Cause I like this. It’s heavy, but somehow the fruitiness helps. It’s not really bitter, and far from dry, but my mouth reacts like it’s astringent. Very nice. Comfort beer.

Draft. Boozy and yeasty. Dark fermented fruits with caramel and a couple loaves of bread. Goes down way too easy though.

Sample at Hal & Al’s. The beer is a clear reddish-orange color with a medium thin off-white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of malt and dark fruits. Full, chewy body with flavors of ripe fruit, caramel malt and earthy yeast. The finish is sweet with a malty and woody aftertaste. Decent overall.
